ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
General Information & Deadlines
1. Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the online submission system by 17 March 2026 according to the instructions below. Abstracts received by e-mail or after the deadline will not be accepted, and therefore cannot be considered for the programme or publication.
2. Abstracts may be submitted on the following topics:
- Fundamentals and novel concepts in nano-optics
- Nanoantennas, nanoresonators and plasmonics
- Near field probing by electrons, interaction of light with free electrons
- Near-field optical microscopy and spectroscopy, applications
- Correlative optical and electron microscopy
- Advanced microscopy techniques, instrumentation
- Strong field nano-optics, nonlinear and ultrafast phenomena
- Meta-optics
- Low-dimensional and semiconductor nanophotonics: materials and devices
- Forces in nano-optics and nano-opto-mechanics
- Strong light-matter coupling
- Quantum nano-optics and nano-cavity QED
3. Select a preferred presentation method upon submission:
- Oral presentation
- Poster presentation
4. Corrections to the abstracts can be made only before the deadline of 17 March 2026.
5. Abstracts will be reviewed by reviewers and selected for either oral or poster presentation. A preference for oral or poster presentations must be indicated when submitting the abstract. However, the final decision on how the abstract is presented will be made by the reviewers.
6. Please have your abstract checked for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and formal structure.
7. All submitters and presenting authors will receive an acceptance notification via e-mail by 7 May 2026. If the presenting authors fail to register before the deadline, their abstract(s) will not be included in the scientific programme.
8. All presenting authors are required to register by 27 May 2026. If the presenting authors fail to register before the deadline, their abstract(s) will be withdrawn from the scientific programme.
Abstract Formatting
1. All abstracts must be written in English. If your abstract is accepted for an oral presentation, you must be able to give your presentation in English and answer questions from the audience.
2. When submitting your abstract, consider and select the scientific topic (see above) and the preferred presentation method.
3. Number of submitted abstracts is limited to 2 abstracts per presenting author. There is no restriction on the number of presentations where a conference participant is listed as a co-author and participants can act as a chair.
4. Up to 12 co-authors can be submitted under one abstract (including presenting author). The order of co-authors can be changed, if necessary, by swapping the names.
5. The maximum abstract length is 500 words. The system will automatically inform you whether you complied with the rules before accepting your submission. References and Acknowledgements are optional and are not included in the 500 words limit.
6. The abstract title is limited by 120 characters and must be submitted using the Sentence Case (e.g. ‘My abstract about NFO18 will be presented in Brno’).
7. Only 1 picture/table/chart is allowed within the abstract text (optional). Please check carefully if your picture was uploaded successfully. You will see it in the abstract overview at the end of the submission.
